Commonwealth Voices Winners

Congratulations to Anna Rosling-Morey in Year 10 who won the Commonwealth Voices performance poetry final at a glittering event in Blackburn last week.

The competition, involving all Lancashire secondary schools, was organised by the Lord Lieutenant as part of the celebration of the Commonwealth in Lancashire.  Pupils had to write, memorise and then perform their poems, on the theme of the commonwealth, in front of a live audience and judges.  Anna’s performance of her poem wowed the judges and was a worthy winner.

Congratulations also to Wami Tucker and Libby McGregor who were 2 of the runners up with their poem ‘Who am I to the world?’
